The animal exhibits are surrounded by plants native to Texas, including butterfly gardens.
The zoo cares for more than 500 animals representing over 200 species. The zoo maintains two species of primates, Black Rhinos, Giraffes, Zebras, Jaguars, Bison, a diverse selection of reptiles, and several aquariums. The Zoo Education Department provides educational programs, summer camps, weekend educational programs, pre-school classes, tours, and special events year-round. |
