Keep Abilene Beautiful Awards Program

To recognize outstanding environmental efforts on the part of local businesses and schools, Keep Abilene Beautiful presents awards in four categories on an annual basis.
           
Categories:

Donna Albus Beautification Award - This award will be given to a local business that has gone to great lengths to beautify their business and Abilene.

Dean Adams Recycling Award - This award will recognize the exceptional recycling efforts of a local business.

Mayor's Water Conservation Award -This award will honor a business that has helped to conserve our water supply.

Janet Parkey Environmental School Award -This award, consisting of a $500 prize, will be given to a local school that demonstrates exceptional environmental awareness and participation.

The winners receive

Plaque/trophy
Public Service announcements on radio and television featuring the winners and their award-winning efforts
Reception in their honor
Recognition by Mayor/City Council
Winning school will receive $500 to be used for landscaping/environmental purposes
