What is Interlibrary Loan and How do I Use it?
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) means sharing materials among libraries. Click on the WorldCat link at the bottom of this page to find and request books or journal articles that are not available locally from the Abilene Public Library. Anyone with an Abilene Public Library card, or a card from any Abilene university, can use this service.
WorldCat is an online catalog of more than 52 million books and other materials in libraries worldwide. Use WorldCat to look up titles, authors, or subjects. Once you've found what you're looking for, click the ILL button or the link "Borrow this item from another library." ILL is free as long as the library supplying the materials does not charge a fee. Every effort will be made to obtain requested materials without charge.
