ADOPT AN ANIMAL PROGRAM

The Abilene Zoo has initiated an Adopt an Animal Program as a way for individuals and organizations to show their support for conservation and their community, while getting involved with one of the most popular attractions in the Big Country.

At the Abilene Zoo, the animals already receive the best of nutritious food, medical care, and attention. However, costs of daily care and maintenance consume a large part of the Zoo's annual budget and additional funds are needed for improvement projects such as habitat enrichment and repair, as well as the larger projects planned in the Zoo's master plan. Funds donated to the Adopt-an-Animal program are used for these purposes.

Adoption is SIMPLE! You can show you care about animals all year round by selecting your favorite animal or exhibit and sending in your tax deductible donation (consult your tax advisor) to us with the adoption form. We'll send you an "adoption package" and you'll be the proud adoptive parent of an animal at the Abilene Zoo. You can also adopt an animal for someone as a gift.

CONDITIONS OF ADOPTIONS:
Animal Adoptions are for a time period of one year. All animals may be adopted at any of the levels listed below.

BENEFITS:

$25 – A certificate of adoption and information sheet about your wild child and a static window decal.
$100 – A certificate of adoption and information sheet about your wild child, a static window decal, and an 8 X 10 photo of your animal.

The final benefit for everyone is the personal satisfaction of knowing that you've helped provide the best possible care for its animals and aided in the progress of the Abilene Zoo.
