|Stage 2 Water Warning
Outdoor Water Restrictions: Once every Two Weeks
|Landscape Watering Schedule||Bi-weekly watering as prescribed in Stage 2 will occur according to
location in the east or west sides of the city, bounded on the north
side of the city by Grape St. and ten Pine St. to the north city limits
(north of Grape St.) and on the south side of the city by Sayles Blvd.
to Buffalo Gap Road and then Buffalo Gap Road to the south city limits
Designated watering days will continue to be determined by the last digit of the property’s address:
* The following provisions for non-residential customers have been made to correlate with regular weekday business hours: Non-residential customers with addresses ending in 7 or 8 will water every other Wednesday. Non-residential customers with addresses ending in 5 or 6 will water every other Tuesday.
|Permitted Watering Times During Current Water Conservation Plan||
Any landscape with sprinklers or drip irrigation can be watered between 12 midnight to 10 a.m. and from 6 p.m. until midnight on designated watering days.
Shrubs, trees, flowerbeds and gardens may be watered anytime with a hand-held hose, bucket or drip irrigation system.
Turf may be watered anytime on any day with a hand-held hose or faucet-filled container of five gallons or less.
New lawns that have been seeded (not to include re-seeding or overseeding existing turf), sodded or mulched may be watered daily for eight minutes once during each of the following periods: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.; 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; and at regular intervals between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. for a maximum of three weeks. To qualify under this section, new lawns are those installed in conjunction with the construction of a new residence and for a period 6 months thereafter or the re-tilling of an area equaling at least 50% of an existing yard. Please notify the Water Service office at 676-6000 when you plan to begin irrigation of a new lawn.

To maintenance level only on designated watering days.
|Ornamental fountains||Allowed with recycling device - refill on designated watering days.
|Use from hydrants||Allowed:
|Penalties||First Offense: $100
Second Offense: $150
Subsequent Offenses: Minimum $500
Termination of water service for repeat violations: Reconnect Fee = $250
Failure to pay penalty: $250 which can be applied to the water bill
Fraudulent misrepresentation of water well: $500
