FACILITY:

South Park has a full-court basketball gym, an after-school activity room, and a banquet/activity room with a kitchen that is shared with our Senior Citizen Program. The senior citizen's area includes an exercise room, den area, a pool- table room, and shuffleboard, air hockey and foosball tables for your enjoyment.

PROGRAMMING HOURS:

Monday through Friday:

      9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Senior Citizen Program (Lunch @ 11:30)

      3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - After-School Program (Ages 6-13)

      Monday, Tuesday, Thursday -- Opens 9am Facility closes at 9pm (see Leisure Guide

      for schedule activities and class times) (Check with center for open gym times)
      Wednesday and Friday -- Opens 9 am Facility closes at 6pm
      Saturday and Sunday -- Facility closed (Available for private rental)

FACILITY RENTAL:

Recreation Center Gymnasiums are available for rental for private use. Facilities can be rented 5 years in advance with a three day advanced notice. Cost for rental is $25 per hour for private non-fundraiser rental. A $50 deposit is required. For more information or to make a reservation contact Community Services 633 Walnut 325-676-6217.  $5 Administrative fee added to each rental.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM (Ages 6-13)

The free After-School program operates from August through May. This structured, supervised program offers arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor sports, games, field trips, special events, homework help, and educational classes.

SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM (Ages 6-13)

The Summer Playground Program is a ten-week program available at nine sites. This is a structured well-supervised program with expanded activities similar to the after school program. Fees are as follows for 2012
