South Park has a full-court basketball gym, an after-school activity room, and a banquet/activity room with a kitchen that is shared with our Senior Citizen Program. The senior citizen's area includes an exercise room, den area, a pool- table room, and shuffleboard, air hockey and foosball tables for your enjoyment.

FACILITY RENTAL:

Recreation Center Gymnasiums are available for rental for private use. Facilities can be rented 5 years in advance with a three day advanced notice. Cost for rental is $25 per hour for private non-fundraiser rental.  A $50 deposit is required.  For more information or to make a reservation contact the facility directly.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM (Ages 6-13)

The free After-School program operates from August through May. This structured, supervised program offers arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor sports, games, field trips, special events, homework help, and educational classes.

SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM (Ages 6-13)

The Summer Playground Program is a ten-week program available at nine sites. This is a structured well-supervised program with expanded activities similar to the after school program. Fees are as follows for 2008

Session I (4 weeks) June 9 - July 3 (Closed July 4th)
City Resident: $70
Non-city resident: $73

Session II (4 weeks) July 7 - August 1st
City Resident: $70
Non-city resident: $73

Session III (3 weeks) August 4- August 22
City Resident: $55
Non-city resident: $58
