Youth Division

The Youth Division is comprised of thirteen personnel; five Investigators, six Criminal Justice Education Officers, one Sergeant, one Lieutenant, and a Secretary. The primary responsibilities of the division Lieutenant are to oversee the Criminal Justice Education Officer Unit. The primary responsibility of the division Sergeant is to directly supervise the Investigative Unit while lending support to the Lieutenant as necessary.

The mission of the division, in short, is to provide for the care, protection, and wholesome moral, mental, and physical development of children in it's jurisdiction. At the same time, the division's mission includes protecting the community from unlawful acts committed by children. The division is committed to these functions through effective investigation of juvenile crime, while stressing pro-active programming that seeks to prevent juvenile crime. The Youth Division is comprised of 10 Officers, a Lieutenant and a Sergeant.  6 officers are School Resource Officers assigned to the middles schools and high schools 4 Officers are Investigators.

The Youth Division responsibilities include investigating all crimes committed by juveniles, including all missing persons, missing children, runaways and child custody issues.
