Police Community Services

The Community Services Division consists of the Crime Prevention Unit and the Safety Education Unit. The Crime Prevention Unit works to lessen the chances of becoming a victim of a crime by educating the community. This is done through the use of video presentations, lecture, and skill demonstrations. The Crime Prevention Unit is staffed by Officer Dwight Kinney and Sue Heath. Safety City teaches children bicycle, pedestrian and vehicular safety at Safety City. Safety City also conducts Stranger Danger, Drug Awareness and Officer Friendly programs. The Safety City is staffed by Jennifer Stuckey. Sgt Stan Standridge is the division commander and Cindi Myers carries out the administrative duties.

The mission of the Community Services Division is to provide the public with timely crime prevention and safety education information; to provide a caring, positive image of the Police Department; and to distinguish problems and problem areas and work within the community to solve those problems.
