Qualifications:

Work involves responsibility for providing advanced and complex secretarial services to division manager and to division staff. Work includes providing support to major boards; preparation of board packets and board agendas; taking and transcribing minutes; follow-thru on meetings and preparing legal notices. Excellent external and internal customer service and filing skills required. Must be able to organize and systematize records, serves as lead to other clerical staff, file documents as needed. Work also requires good communication skills, the exercise of initiative, independent judgment and discretion in screening calls, visitors, mail and various types of public relation activities. Must have the ability to perform mathematical computations and tabulations accurately and compile statistical reports. Must have a variety of computer skills and program knowledge of Quick Books, Excel, Access and Word. Must be able to type 45WPM. Ability to use Power Point preferred. Three (3) years experience in responsible secretarial work preferred. Requires high school diploma or equivalent supplemented by course work in secretarial sciences and/or business management. Any combination of training and experience may be qualifying.

Qualifications:

Under direction from Court Administrator or Municipal Court Judge will perform a variety of duties involved in performing law enforcement-related work in executing citations, summonses and subpoenas. Knowledge of court procedures and terminology in order to understand and follow legal, oral, and written instructions. Ability to read and interpret data in the computer and on other documents. Knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Office 2000 for communication and obtaining information. Provide information, assistance, and related court services to defendants and public. Ability to work inside and outside office environment, interact with members of the Abilene Police Department, Taylor County Sheriff Office, and other law enforcement agencies or related entities and courts. Qualifications:

This a professional and administrative position to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct the engineering, operations, and maintenance work of the Traffic Engineering and Operations division of the City. The position includes technical supervision of investigations, engineering design, preparation of plans and contract documents, and inspections of traffic control projects; direction of subordinate supervisors engaged in the installation, operation and maintenance of traffic control devices; provides traffic engineering advice and assistance to other City units; and interaction with management and the public on traffic engineering issues. Work is performed with considerable professional independence and judgment under the general direction of the Traffic and Transportation Administrator.

Prefer five years of engineering experience primarily in municipal traffic engineering work including some supervisory experience; but will consider one year of relevant experience, requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or closely related field; possession of, or ability to obtain, a Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer in Texas; and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications:

This position involves skilled work in the performance of various tasks and projects to improve drainage and flood control within the City of Abilene. This position requires work experience in the safe and efficient operation and minor servicing of light construction and maintenance equipment. On the job training will be provided to assist in operation of specific equipment. Assigned equipment may include tractor mowers, skid steers, dump trucks, street sweepers, and a variety of light and small equipment with future potential to operate heavy equipment with attained experience. Ability to use and care for a variety of tools, materials, and equipment common to maintenance trades; also the ability to learn specialized manual tasks. The Stormwater Maintenance Crew day shift work week consists of a four day, ten hour schedule. However, two of these positions may be assigned to the Stormwater Maintenance Crew evening shift, which is a five day, eight hour schedule. Employee will also perform related work as required by supervisor. Educational background sufficient to understand work assignments. Requires valid Texas Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain within 45 days. Must have good driving record; driving record check will be required.

At least two years experience comparable to a Treatment Plant Operator I in the City of Abilene and knowledge of State and Federal regulations related to Water Treatment Plant operations. Shift work will be required. Must have valid Texas Drivers License with good driving record, driving record check adjusting controls and maintaining records. Work also involves making minor repairs and assisting in general maintenance activities at the plant. Knowledge in the operation and maintenance of machinery similar to that of a water plant. Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a valid "B" license from the State of Texas for the operation of a treatment plant.
