City Secretary
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is my Councilmember?
Council members are elected at-large, which means they represent the whole City of Abilene, not just a particular area. Addresses and telephone numbers for the Council are listed on the Council roster.
Does the City require painting of house numbers on curbs?
No. The City does require that house numbers are visible from the street, but they do not have to be painted on the curb. Information regarding size and color of house numbers is addressed in the Abilene Municipal Code.
