GOALS FOR ABILENE

• Pursue additional, reliable water sources for Abilene while being good stewards of our existing water resources
• Deepen the great relationship between Abilene and Dyess AFB
• Attract and retain businesses with good paying jobs, especially ones that bring outside revenue to our area
• Build the city's reputation as a destination for education, research and technology
• Have safe neighborhoods under the protection of properly trained, well-equipped and fully staffed Police and Fire departments
• Work cooperatively with local school districts, the county and state
