Mechanical Contractors
License is obtained from the state.
Plumbing Contractors
License is obtained from the state.
Swimming Pool
License is obtained from the City of Abilene, Building Inspections Office.
Swimming Pool Contractor Application
Swimming Pool License l Renewal
Sign Contractors
No license is required.
Sign electricians require license obtained from the city of Abilene, building inspections office.
- License is $75.00 and is renewable annually and expires Dec. 31st of each year.
- Non-renewable after one year expiration.
- Applicants may take a sign electricians test from building inspections.
Electrical Licensing
Electrical Apprentice License by either:
Must pay $10.00 for license to the City of Abilene.. (Neither a test nor previous experience is required. This license is renewable annually and expires Dec. 31st of each year.)
Or, obtain apprentice license from the state.
Electrical Contractor, Master & Journeyman License
Obtain License from the state.
NOTE: New Electrical License (with the exception of electrical apprentice license) are no longer issued by the City of Abilene.
