A SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ABILENE, TEXAS,
WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, JULY 26, 2002 AT 8:30 A.M. IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF
CITY HALL, 555 WALNUT, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING THE FOLLOWING ITEM:

 

        AGENDA

 

1.         Call to Order.

 

2.                  Pledge of Allegiance

 

3.                  Invocation (Councilman McNeil).

 

4.                  Public Hearing: Ordinance amending the Drought & Emergency Contingency Plan (Second and Final Reading).

 

    Immediately following this meeting, Council will convene in the Basement Conference Room of City Hall for the Budget Worksession.

Litigation is, by its nature, an on-going process, and questions may arise as to trial tactics, which need
to be explained to the City Council.  Upon occasion, the City Council may need information from the
City Attorney as to the status of the pending or contemplated litigation subjects set out above. 
After discussion of the pending and contemplated litigation subjects, in executive session, any final action,
or vote taken, will be in public.

After discussion of appointment and evaluation of Council Ap­pointees and Board and
Commission members in executive session, any final action or vote taken will be in public.

 

(Real Property) Section 551.072

City Council may consider the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property in a closed meeting
when deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the governmental
body in negotiations with a third person.
