NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

 

A SPECIAL JOINT MEETING OF MEMBERS OF THE ABILENE CITY COUNCIL AND THE ABILENE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES WILL BE HELD MONDAY, JULY 22, 2002 AT 5:30 P.M. IN THE THOMAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CAFETERIA, 1240 LAKESIDE DRIVE, ABILENE, TEXAS FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSE:

 

 

Round table discussion concerning the Abilene City Council and the AISD Board of Trustees respective roles in the educational and economic development of the City including:

 

·                    Update on various DCOA Activities and Projects including, but not limited to, the Texas Tech School of Engineering; and the Targeted Industry Study

 

·                    Update on ACE Report

 

·                    Report on GIS, including its importance to neighborhoods and school district planning processes

 

·                    Update on Flood Issues and possible effects to city and school district
