A SPECIAL CALLED MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ABILENE, TEXAS, WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11, 1998 AT 9:00 A.M. IN THE CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL, 555 WALNUT, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSIDERING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

AGENDA

1. Call to Order.

2. Invocation.

  1. Resolution canvassing returns and declaring results of December 8, 1998 Capital Improvements Bond Election.

  2. Workshop in the Basement Conference Room of City Hall on Friday, December 11, 1998, immediately following the Council meeting to consider the following:

    1. Annexation philosophy - Anderson

    2. Zoning philosophy - Armstrong

    3. Year 2000 (Y2K) update - Cullen

  1. Executive Session:

    1. Appointment and evaluation of Public Officials, Executive Session (See Personnel Section notice); possible action.
    2. Pending & Contemplated Litigation, Executive Session (see Litigation Section notice); possible action.
