The departmental team of Administrative Services develops and supports quality organizational resources to provide effective and efficient delivery of services to our customers.

Information Technology provides network operations, GIS services, application support and telecommunications to the organization.

Human Resources accomplishes compensation and benefits management, training and development, recruitment and retention, Civil Service administration and personnel policy and procedure administration.

Risk Management oversees safety, claims liability management, worker's compensation and the self insurance fund.

Communication Services manages and maintains the public safety communications systems and related equipment.

9-1-1 Administration oversees emergency response addressing compliance and the management of the Abilene/Taylor County 9-1-1 District. 

COACH Health Clinic is available for all City employees, retirees and their dependents over the age of 5 who participate on one of the City's medical plan.

The clinic is limited to minor, non-emergency type illnesses or injuries, and is provided free to eligible employees and their dependents covered on the City's health plan. Also available for a small office fee for eligible employees not covered under the City's health plan. Staff will accept walk-in patients; however, if at all possible please try to call ahead.

Following are examples of what types of ailments or problems can receive attention at the clinic:

General Minor Medical Conditions
Colds and Flu
Sore Throats
Ear Infections
Minor Injuries such as lacerations, sprains and strains
Minor Skin Lesions
Seasonal Allergies
Immunizations
Allergic Reactions such as bee stings and insect bites
Minor Burns

Laboratory Testing
Referrals for Services not provided in the clinic
Patient Education

Conditions such as the following CAN NOT be treated in the employee clinic. 
These are examples of health needs that would be of an emergency, critical or specialized nature. The City of Abilene Clinic for Health is neither situated nor intended to provide services of this nature:

Major Trauma and Injuries
Major Broken Bones such as legs or arms, or that will require application of a cast
Serious Illnesses such as brittle diabetes and strokes
Major Cardiac Events such as crushing chest pain
Major Head Injuries

OTHER GENERAL INFORMATION

Employees will need to bring their insurance card with them to the clinic as proof of coverage and eligibility for clinic services.
