Circulation of Materials |
Circulating materials for the Abilene Public Library shall be selected books, periodicals, sound recordings, and videotapes. The normal loan period is three weeks, although the loan period may be varied for materials in high demand. Limits may be set on the number of items borrowed for materials in high demand. The borrowing privileges of the Abilene Public Library shall be:
• The borrowing privileges of the library patrons in good standing are limited only by the restrictions upon the specific kinds of circulating materials.
• Patrons who do not have their library card with them may borrow materials if they can provide photo identification.
The borrowing privileges of delinquent patrons are suspended until any overdue materials have been returned AND all overdue charges are paid.
• Patrons in good standing who are eighteen years of age or older may borrow DVDs.
Please note: All library patrons must read APL's Internet Use Policy and Guidelines and read and sign the Internet Access Agreement for Adults and/or the Parental Consent Form/Internet Access Agreement for Minors. |
