A.C. Green Award

The A.C. Green Award is presented annually to a distinguished Texas author for lifetime achievement. The award is named for famed author, columnist, and Abilene native, A.C. Green. Past recipients of the award include John Graves, _________.

This year's A.C. Green Award will be presented to Dr. Don B. Graham. A distinguished writer and teacher, Dr. Graham specializes in Texas and Southwest literature. He is the J. Frank Dobie Regents Professor at the University of Texas at Austin and is a writer-at-large for Texas Monthly magazine. Dr. Graham's newest book is State Fare: An Irreverent Guide to Texas Movies.
