Please note that it isn't possible to list the many awards that many of our featured authors have won. This list only highlights a few of their honors.

Dixie Cash - is the pen name for the talented writing sister team of Jeffery McClanahan of Granbury and Pamela Cumbie of Arlington (formerly of Abilene). Jeffery also writes Texas-based romances as Anna Jeffrey.

Mike Cox - is an award-winning, retired newspaper reporter and the author of 13 non-fiction books. He writes a weekly syndicated column on little-known incidents in Texas history. He and his wife own Saddlebag Books.

Amanda Dunn - singer and song-writer.

Dr. Don B. Graham - is a distinguished writer and teacher specializing in Texas and Southwest literature. He is the J. Frank Dobie Regents Professor at the University of Texas at Austin and is the recipient of the 2008 A.C. Greene Award

Terri Hendrix - is a gifted song-writer and performer out of Austin. Her ability to combine folk, blues, country, and other styles has impressed audiences across the country.

Joaquin Jackson - is the icon of the modern Texas Ranger. His two books - One Ranger and One Ranger Returns - recount his action-filled career with the Texas Rangers.

Elmer Kelton -is a seven-time Spur Award winner, as well as being a former recipient of the A. C. Greene Award.  He has authored more than fifty books; the most recent is his autobiography, Sandhills Boy. National acclaim has moved Kelton out of simply being a western writer to having The Time It Never Rained included in many lists of the “best American novels.”

Kina Lankford - solo acoustic performer. Lankford plays small venues and has opened for a long list of performers. Her "Copenhagen Kisses" has been on radio stations in several states.

Lloyd Maines - musician and producer. Maines is well-known for his steel guitar work which has accompanied many popular performers. He is also a sought-after producer.

Victoria Moore - singer and song-writer. With a mixture of acoustic, folk, and folk rock, Victoria sets her emotions to music that impresses audiences.

Kathy Patrick - is the owner of Beauty and the Book, a Hair Salon/Bookstore. She founded the Pulpwood Queens of East Texas (a book club that does not take things too seriously) and is the author of Pulpwood Queens, a story about her life in books.

Jodi Thomas -has garnered many awards for her novels and is a member of the Romance Writer's Hall of Fame. She is Writer in Residence at West Texas A&M University.
